Our explanations should be verifiable and useful in practice, and make clear when professional assessment is needed. These are the standards we follow at Pool Explained.
From a question to a guide
Every guide starts with a specific question: how to choose a pool or equipment, what to measure or which checks to make when something goes wrong. We explain the answer in manageable steps, including the assumptions and risks that matter.
Our advice should help you assess your own situation. When inspection or repair requires specialist knowledge, we say so.
Sources and fact-checking
- manufacturers' technical documents and instructions
- relevant standards, regulations and professional organisations
- calculations with clearly stated assumptions
- practical experience identified as such, without presenting it as a universal rule
Safety
Electrical installations, structural work, leaks near electrical equipment and chemical handling can endanger people and property. We explain the principles and risks without encouraging work that requires knowledge, equipment or authorisation the reader does not have.
Editorial independence
Advertising, affiliate links, supplied products and other business relationships must be clearly disclosed alongside the content they affect. A partner may check the facts about its product, but cannot determine our conclusion or assessment, or require us to remove relevant limitations.
Corrections and updates
