Our editorial team and expert contributions
The Pool Explained editorial team is responsible for the content we publish. We do not attribute qualifications, experience or opinions to individuals without confirmation.
Editorial team
The team chooses topics, researches sources and edits guides, checking that each article helps readers make a decision or solve a problem. The Pool Explained editorial team is responsible for published content.
When an article requires specific practical or technical knowledge, we use relevant documentation and, where available, input from someone with verified experience in the field.
How we credit contributors
- We name an author or technical reviewer only when the person is identified and agrees to the stated role.
- We describe an expert contributor's field and disclose any relevant business relationships.
- Providing a photograph, document or product does not automatically make the source an author or influence our editorial conclusion.
Conflicts of interest
If an author, contributor or source is connected to a manufacturer, distributor or installer discussed in an article, we disclose that relationship when it is relevant. Our editorial team reviews reports of errors and concerns about conflicts of interest.
